anyone know where to do car soundproof in penang or prai area? i use proton wira... not sure anyone did soundproof for proton car b4, got feel any different after do? how much is the cost? thanks

Trying going over to any car accessories shop and enquire . Am sure most of them are able to provide the service . Price range from RM300 to RM 1 K plus depending on material wise and places to sound proof . Normally people do the sound proofing on the door ( can be either 1 layer inner or 2 layer inner plus outer layer on the door ) and bonnet plus wheels fenders .
For more extreme , you can do the sound proofing on the firewall , floor ,roof and boot area . Mind you , the car gonna be heavier by additional 25-30 kg if you sound proof the whole car .

Most accessories shop do sound proofing. For the cost it depends on the package what you want done.
They go by the number of sound proof used and where they are to be fitted.

Should cost quite a bomb, if do the whole car.
My friend who is a ICE fanatic, spend quite an amount just on sound proofing....

That's unless you go for the ultimate quality like Scosche or Silka .....or whatever imported top range sound proof padding .If go for local or Taiwan or China product no need RM 1 K for 2 door , most properly RM 500 for double layer for door is more than enough .
Saw on Low Yat forum couple months ago , guy doing 4 doors ( single layer ) plus bonnet for Rm320 but no sure what cap ayam product he using .
Soon Tat at Permas Jaya , JB doing 4 doors ( double layer ) for RM600 and wheel fenders for RM400 .This shop is quite known for cut throat or potong kepala type but the boss's audio skills is quite reputable in JB among ICE kakis .
