If you believe that PPS will protect your car and never need to wax in 3 or 5 years, then your car paint will be in trouble...
After PPS, my car still get water mark, bird drops mark and some other yellowish stain.
Most of the time I'll wash my car within 2 days if there is some stains, still have that problem.
But washing is not enough, the paint still look dull just after 2-3 months after PPS...
So now I do waxing monthly. At least I can see the water beads after wax and bird drops can be wash off easily.
I know my car paint is protected to see water beads, but can you?
My advise is wax your car monthly with or without coating.
The so call coating in the market just a more lasting layer of "wax".
But it won't last you years like it advertised.

I would said PPS coating is not really a good solution based on my experience so far.
The best solution is still wash and wax your car frequently!
No coating will save you from stone chips. Probably for stone chips protection, best is to stick the film over the paint.

regular washing and waxing is still the answer for the best paint protection and shine.
clear bra is an alternative, but in Malaysia, it is priced too high.
all these glass coating, or quartz or "nano tech" are just gimmicky and in actual fact just sealant on your clear coat.

Agree, applied on means it is super, super thin only, whereas unlike clear coat is sprayed on....

I did SG. The car is still shining after 2.5yrs coated with SG, of course, I went back touch up in and off.
According to a coating specialist told me that all kind of coating will tend to have water marks, just depend on the degree of protection. He admitted that (not his own one) G Guard has the best protection against water marks.

Touch up on and off ? Free of charge ? How about washing ? Do they advice that must go back to them or use 'special' type of shampoo, wax from them to 'maintain' the coating ?
Oh well, NO Coating Product in the world (for now) that can withstand watermark or dirty flim especially after they expose to sunlight or moisture...
Coating is typically just help you to 'easier' your maintenance where whatever landed on the surface is easier to be clean off or remove...
* My personal experience : Coating would be very good for car that is only use during weekend or park under covered car park all time....

Touch up on and off ? YES
Free of charge ? YES for last time. No more now as SG is getting busy.
How about washing ? Washed first before grooming.

No, I have the water marks after one week coating. Now, I can feel the water marks area is very rough. I can not use wax as it will damage the SG's coating as advised by the boss.
This is the problem. I do not mind to spend time for DIY but I can not do it in this case. I can not keep sending back to him.

Then defeats the purpose of the coating. If it does not protect and cannot wax over it. I might as well forgo the coating and start DIY maintenance precess....

Same polishing machine they use like other car wash services...
I got 1 silver and 1 red cars for 3 years. Regular waxing really keep them shine like new.
The buyers were happy to see the paint still in good condition.
I got 2 whites now with PPS. Earlier I thought I don't have to wax.
Then after ~3 months I was shock to see stains on my cars
Those stains were hard to remove and needed polishing
So now, I do regular waxing. Then polish + wax half yearly.
If need longer lasting wax, find those silicone based.
Silicone wax last almost 2X longer than carnauba wax.
However, carnauba wax tends to give more glossy look
