now I traveled only about 300km,my fuel meter showed my fuel left around 1/4 only, and the reading showed 10.7L per 100km.
may I know what's the reason that my new car was so fuel consumed as it is still new and I just drive about 80km/hr.
someone pls advise.
thanks a lot !

hi bro.. congratz on your new ride and welcome to autoworld...
for brand new car, the engine need to be run-in properly for a few k and you can expect better fc after that.
The idea behind running in an engine is to allow time for the mechanical parts to bed in before they are put under stress.
layman speaking is.. ur car engine still a virgin. 1st few timer shud be tight.. after a while, you do the math....

before my PE clocked 8k, the FC was always around 8.5 to 8.8 l/100km
after 8k, my PE return better FC not more than 7.8 l/100km including town driving. normally 7.6 to 7.7 l/100km.
from kuantan to ampang, 60% hiway 20% curvy karak highway 20% town driving, maintaining around 140km/h on the highway, revving between 4 to 6k rpm on 3rd n 4th gear on the curvy karak highway and normal town driving. the FC return 7.7l
just changed to Helix Ultra recently from HX7. hope my PE will return better FC since i've spent more on EO and rm458 in total for my 10k service
