the LC135 is one fast moped. somehow, the SOHC it uses make it loose to smaller bikes like FX125 with DOHC engine. anyway, its still fast in its own way. this is the reason why Yamaha was required to lightened the speedo reading as an awareness for the riders not to speed.

one easy way to make LC goes faster is convert to 150cc engine and 5 speed gb from FZ.

otherwise, switch the standard CDI to the racing version with higher max rpm.

but why yamaha adjust the CDI to limit the power for new LC? is it becoz too many mat rempits RIP earlier due to older LC's powerful performance? smile_question.gif

manufacturers won't limit the power on their bikes without any reasons..they hv perform countless number of test so they are the expert on their bikes ...mostly is becoz of reliability, higher rev meant for higher stress on the engine,so it tend to break quickly or more often,n other reason is emission,n one more reason is "cost"

Went to shop at Cheras, he recommended me CDI racing type brand (BRT or BTR) but he said once installed this, the engine sounds different and price around RM350...anyone tested this do share your thoughts.. smile_thumbup.gif
