FEMlab, if i were you family shd come first...with a little todler it is essential to get a decent sedan car with spacious boot to store ur baby's salong, pampers, food, clothings etc... if u can add to ur budget then get the new City or else get the Dugong E spec and do ur own mods to spice up the dull looking car...

swift will be ideal for 2nd car or a gift to Wife smile_tongue.gif
swift sport is a gift for husband smile_big.gif and you will feel life starts at 40....hahaha

Thanks for input dareltian..yes that my main concern as well the comfort thingy..keep rationalising my self that I hardy when out of KL since baby born..current car milage is less than 5k last 8month..balik kampung always by flight since I got married..so if i go for swift not that bad..but I will weight out the pro and con again..thanks bro

sorry for hijacking the tread "tread owner"

Hmm..

Guys sorry to hi-jack your tread but..can you guys help me out..I am considering swift but

"Still thinking...thinking..think harder...

Alamak still dunno la..

I hv narrow down my option to the following:

1) Wait for my current booking..peugeot 308 turbo..which is no doubt soo fun when test drive..but if wait intrest rate will go up..than can only afford 8-9 years loan..

2) Go for swifey..alamak cannot compare then test drive experiance la..also quite concern about the comfy of my baby (6 month) at the back..and rattling noise..hmmm..may not tolerate..but can autofoam and sound proofing treat this problem??, big question, is this suzie sufficient for family of 3..on the plus side can afford the suzie with 3-4 years loan..after that debt free and can start to look for nicer car

3) Not really an option, I hv test drive new city..not impressed with the interoir..crv, quite comfy but boring car..vios, alamak dugong la..

so tick tock..thinking thinking...swift seem like so much fun but is it ok for family of 3??????? But I like it very much seen its fun in the driving seat.. maybe need to live life a little since I am not yet 30 so maybe when Im 30+ can start buy family car...what do you think??

How can you even mention the 308 Turbo in the same breath! This is primo stuff man. Beats all others you have mentioned hands down.If you can afford it, get the 308 la. This is the answer to all your questions, great car, family needs, baby needs, balik kg, you name it la! Let me also say, safety standards in this car will be unmatched. I would`nt blink an eye on this la!!!

One more thing, no need to think of a better car for later, there`ll be none to match this for a long while! He,he,he, sorry la to sound like a salesman. I simply love the 308T!!!

Hmmm...long story bro..short version..I booked 308 in feb..promised the car by my SA to get in March..then my SA got sack by NASIM..my case looked by the branch manager..promised in april..then cannot get..promised again in end-may..then when I call again..he quit NASIM already..my case been transfer to yet another SA.. again ask when can get..he answer..dunno..maybe May or June..

To make thing worst, i hv miss my fuel rebate, 308 turbo increase price and if no car by mid-may (which my bank offer letter expired), HP intest go up..extra rm100 a month for next 9 years..

So sakit hati...even the car is good, but if the dealer here is shitty like that...I am afraid if got problem..so susah..

Now I am eyeing car that I can settle in 3-4years loan..so in 3-4years time..can get really nice car like Golf Scirocco..thats the plan anyway..

I understand your situation bro. I`ve written previously that even though I love the Pug, I would`nt touch it cos of the agents unprofessional attitude and the monkeys at their SC. You have just confirmed my story. Sad to say they have lost 2 potential customers, you & me, but like us how many more!

Well i`m sure Suzzi will quench your thurst for the interrim. Wish you best of luck bro!

Hmm..

Well if you follow peugeot tread..sure you will hear that there is alot of waiting and forumer delivery of 308 THP "hot" colour like red been delayed..myself was offered grey colour but decline as I wan red..I end of not having one at all sterb292.gif ..silly me..

if you digged deeper..they also had delivery problem when they 1st launch 407..

but the forumer there are very proud and please on the product/car (but they aslo complain about nasim)..also some of them are more knowledgable the the nasim salesperson..so I consider myself lucky no need to deal with nasim service center..if the car got problem, most prob the experiance will be similar..

btw, how SMA after sales?? I am still looking for my next car..swift is a strong contender.. smile_cool.gif

He,he........I was trying to keep off this. Since you`ve asked, here it is. SMA`s after sales service also not that good la. Maybe they are still very small, but hopefully things will change as more and more units are sold. Fortunately the car is very good, practically no issues, so don`t need to see them other than the regular service.

This is the whole point many seem to miss. Pugs are very good cars, but require special attention. If maintenance at SC can`t match that requirement, then you endup with a problematic car. However like you said, there are a few guys at the forum who are very, very good. These guys are knowledgeable and share information without hesitation. They offer very useful help, I salute those guys!

Btw, I talked one of them in great detail when I was deciding between the 206 & Swift. Suzzie with her problem free nature swept me off my feet!

i drove wifey swift to mcca, then jb and the odo is oledi 1,100km in less than 2 weeks and need to send for first service...so fast smile_angry.gif

will send to Bangi coz near to my house and they are using Castrol Magnatec (hopefully the oil is ori) unsure.gif
pump tires to 220kPa and no more wobbly when attacking corners (last time came out of show room only left 180!)
need little time to get used with the VVT characteristic... engine still feel tight
during heavy downpour, it is noisy....poor roof insulation
hopefully it is reliable and problem free car over the long run biggrin.gif

Hi,

Seem that you are enjoying your ride very much..I am think to sign for swift this week..

Hows your swift so far?? done any roof sound proofing yet?? can share the details..any problem on the parts and door panel vibrations on the new car??

I am assuming you are driving the new 2009 keyless go swift..i read that it does not come with auto lock feature when you press brake i.e. open lock when you switch off car. ist this true?

So far the car is in good condition, all parts are made in japan including the potenza tires smile_thumbup.gif
Local made products are only battery YUASA, carpet mats, windscreens and (aiya..cannot remember oledi) - 5 items
If it rains, blast ur radio louder ler coz the 6 way speakers are not bad...
No visible vibration or any noise or so whatever...
On highway 110km/hr @ 2,600rpm onli....engine is quiet and easy to overtake. Did a short sprint from 80km/hr to 135km/hr with a new city and guess what, he only manage to overtake me after i let him so smile_big.gif ...i will not push to red line till i did my first service...

mine is w/out the keyless go but am getting good rebate and have the auto brake lock feature..
So, which color u choose for ur baby?
