Just wanna have an explaination and information. I'm using gen2 1.6(M). Thinking of swap the new engine. I'm thinking of using mivec engine. So, my question is :
1. What about mivec engine? I mean, the cc. 1.6 or 1.8?
2. How much the HP they produce?
3. How much the cost i mean half cut and installation.
4. Then, where can i get the engine and also where to install? Can u suggest the workshop?
Thank you...

u can use the cj / ck mivec (lancer) halfcuts..... straight fit with the gen2 chassis
2. How much the HP they produce?
about 140hp on wheel, considering the age of the engine
3. How much the cost i mean half cut and installation.
halfcut prices ranges from rm7k to 8k, prepare to spend rm1k+ for consumables, eg. timing belt set, clutch, all oils & fluids, etc..... transplant labour generally costs between rm1k to 2k.....
4. Then, where can i get the engine and also where to install? Can u suggest the workshop?
most wotkshops will be able to do this job for you....... i strongly recomend against the chop shop doing the transplant for you as i've seen some serious blotched up jobs done at the chop shop......
Thank you...

Then how can i go and get the half cut? I mean, did i have to go by myself? How did i know the age of the engine? did it depend to the mileage?

My own experience is that if you mau tukar engine, better get the mechanic doing the transplant it to buy the engine or if you know of a good engine, ask him to have a look. That way if anything wrong with the engine he cannot claim ignorance. If they buy, theres a possibility he may, I say may cause some may not make some money there, however dont fret, but at least you are assured he will be working on your car happily because it looked like you trusted him. Remember when you leave your car with him, you would want a happy satisfied mechanic.
If you are too calculative about costs then if you have problem later when you send the car for checks or other repairs, he may not attend to it fully.
