If Nazim will discontinue 206, where are we gonna get the spare parts in future? kereta potong will be closed by 2015... so, where are we supposed to source our spare parts?

i am currently owning a 405 and parts are not a problem. even 504 still got spare parts.go figure!

i 2nd that, and fyi, nasim will be introducing the brand new 207 sedan, if not mistaken most of the part are carry over from 206 model. im not seeing any problem to get spare part for 206 in the future.

I am more worried on the mechanical parts ...

So you guys buying brand new parts or from kereta potong of imported 2nd hand parts?
Right now, most parts come from kereta potong and/or imported 2nd hand, which due to NAP will gone.

Newly imported parts will be expensive, unless we get compatible parts rather than original ones...

Anyway, I am more disappointed with how Naza treat its customers rather than the parts availability.

I am still waiting for a clear direction on when i can get my cars.
Obviously, Peugeot make good cars, but Naza is not helping its cause to build good goodwills.

Imaging, not even have a proper booking system, they can start sell car...back to basic...they just need to spend few K, get a programer to do a webable kind of booking system for dealer. All dealer will have official resit with runing number, once get teh deposit from customer, just go int eh wed and enter those customer details, payment info, resit numebr and manage it lar... smile_angry.gif

Now, they make so many unhappy customer.... smile_blackeye.gif

Anyway, I am interested to get a used 206 Bestari, with milage not more than 50K KM. Prefer those 06/07 car wich still got few months waranty.

Any one got potential seller, pls PM me lar...

guys, anything to suggest? the SA promise car on Nov/Dec, but now its already december.

Should i continue to wait, or get another car?

is there any 206 car coming at all? i do not want to wait till march, and then been told that no more car available. But at this price, there isnt much choice, other than the perodua car.

From what I hear, you wont get the car even in Dec. They will only start supplying in Jan 2010 till Mar/Apr to make it 2010 cars.
The trick is, there might be price increase since it is 2010 cars and there is not enough cars to provide to all those who booked.
Bottom line, if you can wait and are ok with the potential cost up, then it is worth to wait since the car is value for money.
If you can't wait (e.g. sold your old car and desperately need a car), then might as well grab the year end offers that many companies are offering now.

For me, I am waiting for value for money offers from other companies or this car, whichever comes first.
I have sold off my car, and can't wait too long. Preferably to get the car before Chinese New Year.

my reply,

mechanical parts are easy to get. the one that have wear and tear are the most available part. mostly i buy brand new parts. for price, euro is appreciating. or ringgit is going down(that most like it). anyway, expensive peugeot part, they last long, longer than any japanese or korean parts.

about original parts, which one do u prefer? a valeo spark plug in peugeot box or in "valeo" box? mostly PSA source their parts from valeo, federal mogul etc. and for the original parts sold in official service centers , they come in "peugeot" box. well, from my point of view, better straight away get the parts as original as it is: a valeo part in valeo box. they cost cheaper too.

so ,just do some homework/legwork and u can source your parts elsewhere, other than official service center. believe me, they are cheaper and last as long. and the process of getting to know your peugeot parts network, you will be astounded by how cheap they are(really). why? even though sourced from EU countries, they are not made in the 'rich' EU country. they can be made in portugal, czech republic or any other former eastern block country, sometimes cost less than japanese parts. since japan is one country, and u know the cost of living/parts there, is not cheap either, as compared to an EU country, let's say czech republic. so, japan is not cheap either. as an example, compare both 1995; pug 405 and honda accord timing belt set price. 405 price is way cheaper than accord. trust me.

for a start, i give u mr tan number, u can source yr parts from him .012-278 5953. actually peugeot are very cheap to maintain,if u dare to be different and willing to follow the 'other' way.it is not a 'mainstream' car, so sourcing parts should also be not with the mainstream.dont trust me? just browse ebay and u will be surprised at the parts price.

i have been driving my 405 since 2001 = 9 years. very comfortable car, which i think until now, no car can surpass.try to ask in the peugeot forum and multiple peugeot owner, about 405 compared to other car.406 and 407 are not direct replacement of 405,only more modern. yes ,it got its whims and fancies, ups and downs, but treat it well, it will treat you better.

juz a hv a talk with my relative last friday. he working in Naza plant in Gurun as QA guy. Overall on Pug car was good n for 206, no more assemble new as no stock / part available. Even 308 quite slow. For my knowledge, all pug car go through Nasim but not Naza. Pug only do bussiness with Nasim, so Naza ppl not really well known any news abt Pug as they only assembled as Nasim order..what kind of bussiness like this..Nasim under Naza but Naza followed Nasim instruction..WTH..no wonder la all part quite expensive as been controlled by Nasim..

be cool....
