hi guys,

just want to know whether we can claim insurance from motorcycle and car accident??
just example;i'm driving a car and i collide with a motorcycle(which is breaking red light-well-hat's indicate not my fault),how do i make a insurance claim??

normally when accidents occured at traffic light junction, any parties will claim that it was his right way.

until there is proof - example a video clip showing that it is so, it is very hard for the traffic police to decide whose mistake it was.

and normally they will put the case as RTI (refer to insurance). so, without police finding saying that the third party is at fault, its hard to make a claim the motorcyclist.

Have you made a police report??? What did the police say?? How much damage done to your car?? Has the motorcyclist made a police report??? Any other info we should know???

Normally the police will advise both of you to settle outside. Maximum is MYR 300 compounds for whoever found guilty.

it was both parties no matter guilty or not fined MYR300 each...one for causing xcident...another one due to careless/cuai while driving/riding

Basically the police will tell to forget it, and if want try settle outside, this is to avoid the compound been issued.

thats why got to know the extent and cost of repairing it.......remember if you claim will take a long time and if no party could be faulted you will also lose your NCB...and not to mention your claims sometimes much lesser than the actual thing if the adjusters start pointing to this and that and say they are not caused by the accident....
