just shows how ignorance you are smile.gif ... all Mac are boot by EFI (Extensible Firmware Interface). BIOS is an old technology.

The Extensible Firmware Interface (EFI) is a specification that defines a software interface between an operating system and platform firmware. EFI is a much larger, more complex,[1] OS-like[2]:4 replacement for the older BIOS firmware interface present in all IBM PC-compatible personal computers.[2] The EFI specification was originally developed by Intel, and is now managed by the Unified EFI Forum.

aiyo... i just giving example on BIOS lar ... no matter how canggih(BIOS, UEFI, EFI bla bla bla), they sure need battery for clock... those detector detect battery which is used by BIOS, UEFI, EFI for clock.

Unless 1 day, got mamaboard company can create a board which no need battery for clock... smile_approve.gif smile_approve.gif

*scratch my head... how the clock works ah?? hmmmm......*

Tat's why whenever I leave bag on car seat, make sure open up and show them the content. Newspaper, diary, may be toilet roll, let them know nothing valuable. If one of these buggers got dierrhea then too bad lah, blame on your shooting star.

Touch wood, so far so good, keep fingers and toes cross.
