Wow ! What a laugh.
When emergency, they kelamkabut and spill all over the road!!haha
But mind you, times have come to accept that the gentler gender is no push
over and bear this in mind, don't get upset if you are being overtake by a
lady driver.
Cars nowadays are more powerful and the ladies are no light-footed too.
Most scarier ones are those young drivers...honked at them, they tense to
kelamkabut a bit..left signal turned right, braked instead of
accelerate..and finally, swarming all over the road....hm..

Yes, the females nowadays are more aggresive in their driving, but unless
they really understand their cars, the handling, feel of the momentum &
braking capabilities, in short, the charateristics of the vehicle, then
only will they be able to handle the vehicle properly.
Most don't even know the shape of a brake pad, and the fly down the
h'ways like a pro driver, a give you the look when they overtake you,
imagine that!!

Aisay, travelling at 130km/h nowadays is very easy. With the advancement
in car technology, and even smaller engines churning out even more power,
this is to be expected. I am sure that when travelling long distance,
130km/h doesn't even feel fast after awhile. Furthermore, newer cars comes
with so many electronic angels. So sometimes, it is not the ladies, but
the advancement in technology which has enabled them to drive faster,
easier, and safer. Even a less skilled driver is now able to handle the
car better, and have more confidence in driving faster.

tyett, maybe the lady driver was a desparate soul and thought that you
might be a good-looking guy. Hence she gave chase, wanting to take a
glimpse at you. After all that effort, weaving in between cars and risking
her live and endangering others, she finally catches up. She turns her
head towards your direction, and to her utmost horror, she saw what a big
mistake she made. Thus you might have mistaken that look of total
disappointment and utter disgust for anger Big SmileBig SmileBig Smile

a few years back, about 1995(?) my friend met this chic online, and decide
to meet up. So I tagged along. My friend came over picked me up and we
went for the meet. She was okay looking she was driving a Mazda 626, and
we were in a Toyota LE. After talking abit we decided to go off to get
some coffee at a place about 15 mins away. guess what, she raced us there!
hahaha swerving in and out of traffic[note] (4.30pm) , my friend fast
behind her. ahhh the things we do when we are young huh!~? anyways we got
to the place in good condition. and from then I know gals can drive fast
and good. and this particular chic knows her car.

[Note] this kind of driving is not recommended in any situation!

advancement in tecnology still requires the driver to step on the
accelerator, turn the steering wheel, step on the brakes, and if you know
about vehicles, even the best technology have limits. So it still bores
down to the driver. All the tech cannot help you if the car comming at
you is travelling at 160km towards you standing 10 feet away, God bless
you

Mr T, I totally agree with what you say. No amount of electronics, safety
devices, helmets, side protection bars etc, can save us from impending
disaster. One only has to look at the F1 cars as an example. After all,
they can be regarded as the epitome of car technology. But very
unfortunately, Aryton Senna was still sent to meet his maker on that very
fateful day, despite all the safety precautions taken.

What I am trying to convey is relative. Advancements in car technology has
indeed allowed ppl to driver faster and safer, say compared to 5 years
ago. Nowadays, airbags are almost standard features, and so is ABS.
Doesn't that save lifes? True, it may or may not save lifes when the car
crashes at 160km/h as there are so many variable factors involved, but I
can tell you that the chances of surviving a car crash at that speed 5
years ago, is minimal. If not, speed limits on highways would continue to
remain low. To me, skills and a good peripheral vision are required to
AVOID accidents, but when you are in an accident technology advancements
do help tremendously, that you live to drive another day.

Hi Alfamaniac,

I agree with you on how technology saves lives but one point to note is
that most car accidents occur at much lower speeds, you can't possibly
survive a crash at 140kmh, much less at 160! Any car that collides at
that kind of speed sure turn into chapati :)

I believe that many serious collisions occur at less than 80kmh due to
either or both parties braking hard prior to impact, but even then the
impact is tremendous enough to cause serious damage and injury. In Ayrton
Senna's case, the car that killed him smashed into his car at about
200kmh after exiting a corner. Had the driver been able to slam his
brakes the impact may have been less than fatal.

Having said that, side collisions are the worst, and since the only
protection you have is the door, slamming hard into a tree at even 40kmh
will bring about much damage/injury or even death.

Cheers.
