According to reports in the German press, seven time Formula One world champion, Michael Schumacher was taken to hospital suffering with concussion after a fall from a motorbike at a race track in Cartagena Spain yesterday.



It appears as if Schumacher was testing a Honda 1000 CBR-Fireblade when he had a ‘harmless slip, a very normal training fall’. The German driver was also complaining about a sore right wrist, however he was discharged from hospital and returned home soon afterwards.



"It is only a slight concussion. Michael will fly home immediately," Schumacher's spokeswoman Sabine Kehm told the Cologne Express.



However, the Murcia regional health department reported that Michael was actually admitted to the the Virgen Arrixaca Hospital in Murcia with rib injuries and later released.
