go for modenas elegan, the advantages are

1. bigger fairing so better protection from flying stones, splashing water and cold wind at night
2. bigger engine so more relaxing cruise
3. front and rear disc brakes for better stopping power
4. bigger fuel tank so u can travel further before re-filling

i agree 50km is not very far a distance so u may want consider other scooters like modenas elit, passion 125, honda click AT125, suzuki step125, yamaha ego 115 or yamaha nouvo 135.

my advice though - yamaha bikes got magic!

SYM GTS is another option...earlier, there were issues regarding documentations i.e AP's and engine spec registration on the vehicle grant..and even a lot of question marks on the initial distributor. Now with SYM Malaysia coming into the picture since middle last year..most issues have been resolved and with much-much more better aftersales service and parts.

Most of the mechanical parts are similar with elegan.
Their branch HQ and service centre is at Segambut

i do agree on SYM GTS is better than modenas elegan (they are sisters from the same family)

but, the weirdo looks does not suit to everyone's taste while the bigger engine capacity does not making it enjoying the free road tax from the government.

but its a whole lot bigger- think if elegan is like a whale, the sym gts is like a ship.

Thanks for all the replies.

modenas elegan
modenas elit
passion 125
honda click AT125
suzuki step125
yamaha ego 115
yamaha nouvo 135
SYM GTS

Among all these scoots, which is the most good looking one? How are their pricing?

In terms of 'good looking'...that depends on individual eyes and preference..Elegan is about RM6.4K OTR, GTS RM9.4K OTR..others I'm not sure

to me sym GTS is the best looking! but also the most expensive.

2nd goodlooking is NUovo,

the rest are all ok.

I sendiri pakai Elegan.. will not hesitate to recommend to anyone. I think it is one of the best scoot!!
Tapi minyak besar sikit lah compare to the rest (except gts)

Guys, I've been looking at the elegan and find that the rear tyre is quite small. What do you think about that?

Also, are there any scooters that can do the free gear thing like kapcai?
