Same here. Thats exactly why I can't bear to part with my reliable 4g18. Else I've long settle for any Japs or Korean brand.

For comparison purposes, just take the Perdana's 2.0 V6 engine vs. the Mitsubishi Lancer's 2.0 Mivec engine. The Mivec engine trashed the Perdana in terms of performance in power and torque across the entire range.

The biggest weakness of the 4G18 is that it becomes gruff and unrefined after 4,000rpm, though I do give it enormous credit for being a rather thrifty powerplant.

so far my 4g18p had yet give me problem
always do drag (full rev till 6.5k rpm) at least once a month
