what's the point if F1 cars technology cannot be used on the road?
They will reduce it further to 1.5 liter, but mind you, the car will still
be as zippy as ever..

F1 in the Turbo era used to be 1.8 (or is it 1.5) I think...but gave hell
to the 3L NA cars.
But now the NA engine are capable of matching or exceeding the Turbo era
ones.
Maybe, with better technology, 2.4L will match the current ones.

there are some new regulation in engine developedment.
-the cylinder bore diameter must not exceed 98mm.
-the cylinder must be arranged in 90degree angle only. (no more renault's
72degree engine anymore)
but if u make some simple calculation, the volume of each cylinder are
still same at 300cc. there only need to cut 2 cylinders from their
engine. I predict that this engine will still produces at least about
800hp.

800bhp??
dont think it will be so soon, even running at 20,000rpm, and 260Nm peak,
it will "only" produce 730bhp.
it will definitely be slower though, something in the region of 4-5 seconds
a lap.

1988 McLaren Honda Turbo
1.5 liter, 1200bhp! Rocks!
God knows how they manage to get 1200bhps from a 1.5hp engine in 1988. If
a street car can half of that is considered marvelous oledi.
