dudes,

no offence, especially the hardcore fans, but I think this 2006 season is
getting boring and boring. So much hype was built up before the kick off
season earlier this year but barely halfway through the season, it fails
to deliver. Save for renault, the other manufactures just didnt perform
well.

Similar to the era when ferrari rulez, Renault is a runaway champ for this
year season. Now, I'm not getting excited anymore when the racing weekend
is just around the corner. Not like last year when Renault and McLaren is
going for it right until the last few races.

Well, I couldn't be bother with the rest of 06 season anymore. Come
weekend, i'll just switch to Akademi fantasia (which I really LOATHE)
instead of watching the predicatble Schuey, Alonso, Kimi, Fishy etc..Disapprove

And oh.. i already looking forward for 07 season when the reliable Alongso
is driving overated-but-fail-to-deliver McLaren..

GOODBYE '06, HELLO '07!! Big Smile

Yes, I completely agree. Alonso running off like that and leaving
everyone else behind is not funny. Nothing against him winning, just that
there's no challenge anymore. What's up with Ferrari and McLaren??

if the 3 teams are more evenly matched, it will be much better.

but i guess the reason why so many fans are still watching formula 1 is to
hope that some other teams will hit the sweet spot and beat Renault

Yes, I fully agree that the races have become rather boring lately.
Qualifying is not much fun either as most of the top 10 cars elect to go
for their flying laps towards the end of the session. That means that
most TV coverage is of the cars coming out of the last corner and into
the main straight at the end of their lap. We would have missed most of
the pole lap.

Don't you think World Cup is boring too? The usual teams get through. The
usual teams win. Some matches no goals. Some matches are a snorefest.

Watching people jogging around a field chasing a ball ain't as fun as
watching a car pushed to the limits lap after lap even if there no
overtaking. Overtakings are real screw ups. They don't allow the car to
be pushed to its limits. Cannot set consecutive fastest laps.

Motorsports is actually a very niche sport. Most casual viewers will be
amused if there's plenty of overtaking and say it's boring when there's
none. I won't be suprised if there's actually only a handful of people in
Malaysia who truly enjoy motorsports, thus F1 of course.

venturi dude,
you're not comparing apple to apple here. I mean, c'mon, what if only 11
those football nations played every weekend, and each weekend say only
Brazil won, and not even half way thru the season Brazil already dominate
the season, in this sense, the league. I would surely be switching off the
tv already. And these so called competition are shown every year.
Say, another scenario, instead of racing every stupid weekend, group these
so-called manufacturers once every four years and make them racing one on
one for every night in a period of one month.. do you find it interesting?

If u could imagine these scenarios, you would think twice even before
comparing F1 and World cup.

heck, i dont even religously follow the EPL. Now, if you're comparing F1
with EPL, then it'll be interesting. I would surely follow every weekend
result if Chelsea, MU, Liverpool etc are going for it right until the last
weekend of the season. Agreed..?

But dont worry, I'd still be watching F1 race right until the last lap if
Mclaren and Ferrari or the always overated Button put up a decent fight
against Alonso. Big Smile

Qualifying round: 1st Alonso, 2nd Fischy. Well, I'm glad that i only woke
up at 3am just in time to see starting of Holland-Portugal clash. I would
have regretted spending 1 and 1/2 just to see another Renault win. BTW,
congrats again to Renault for winning another round. But condolence to
Bernie for losing another TV viewers halfway thru the season. see ya in
March next year. Smile
