Looks like Renault has done a great job; they are second fastest team.
Maclaren has a problem; they may be locked out of podium. Ferrari still
has got it.
Even Button has good chance. BAR has got good package this time; can beat
the Maclarens.
As usual. Webber is miles ahead of his teammate

Phew...what a dogfight for No. 2 team...Renault, BAR, Williams and
Jaguar! Hope they keep up this form for the whole weekend. But we really
don't know about the fuel loads, so perhaps some teams were trying harder
than others to set impressive times.

Can't wait for tomorrow!!

And here are the second practice times. Looks like Ferrari has a more than
1 sec advantage over the rest. These are absolute times (with low fuel) and
tomorrow, we will probably see a different picture as teams have to qualify
on race fuel loads.

I don't think we can take it for granted that all teams ran "low fuel".
Some may be more eager to impress than others. I would guess that they
ran different fuel loads...very low, 1/4 tank, 1/3 tank, 1/2 tank etc.

We'll know for sure tomorrow at 12:00 noon! Great weekend ahead
though...my entire two days are planned around the tv schedule!

Montoya can 'storm' out of the conference but cannot 'storm' out in the
practice Tongue

I don't think any team will put much fuel in their cars for free
practice. These sessions are for them to get the best set-ups; it is also
a good indicator of things to come. Of course reliability is an unknown
factor here till race day.
The most improved team in my opinion is renault. If they can get some
extra horsepower into thier engines, watch out. last season they had
probably one of the best chassis. How the new renault engines will
perform, let us see in tomorrows qualifyings.

Interesting set of times. It looks like Ferrari is still setting the
circuit ablaze but I always take these practice sessions with a truckload
of salt. We shall see what happens in qualifying tomorrow. What would also
be interesting to observe is as to whether 2 qualifying sessions on a
single day add any excitement into F1.

And what happened to BAR Honda? I thought they were breaking track records
with their new car. I certainly expected them to do a whole lot better
with such promising pre-season testings.
