Yes, good effort by NAZA for stock tyres -

Pug 407 - Pirelli P7
Pug 308 THP - Continental - (also imported / higher quality)
Kia Optima Novus - Michelin Pilot Preceda

I'll wait for the facelift model for Optima. Saw Singaporean registered unit - not bad! Hopefully by then, NAZA will have newer test drive car.

but new facelift prices may not be that attractive

The Optima facelift will never make it here. I think the new model (when it does appear worldwide) will make an appearance.

2006 tyres left unused would have hardened considerably. The PPs are good tyres but are definitely not comfort-biased. Add to that the fact that they have hardened will explain your noise issue.

If the price is RM11xK with the new front and rear, with the same packaging as the current Novus... I think it is attractive.

IC.... thanks for letting me know. Wonder if NAZA can change the tyres prior to my confirmation of purchase..

I have heard people requesting for this to be done but it is almost certain that you won't be getting the same model tyre in return. Most people will take the Pilot Precedas and enjoy the drive smile_tongue.gif

Requesting for things to be changed in "old" cars is very common. It depends on how desperate the dealer is in wanting to clear stocks.

You may want to ask your local tyre dealer how much he will offer for the 2006 tyres. You may get a good price as they are very good tyres.

My salesman promised me a new set of Michelin rubbers. I already have Primacy LC in mind (which is cheaper than Pilot Preceda). But that is history..

Can't commit over uncertain matter. I still don't know if I'll be happy with the car after the tyres are changed.

can any sifu here give me a review on the kia optima?
a 2002 car is elling for 38000...is it worth it to buy?

\
For 2002 the price is on the higher side. For that price, you could get a 2005 model.
