Cool man! Good choice! Mine one is black, nice but just have to wash it
everyday..What colour did you book?
I got it under the 0% for 2 years promotion..nothing extra I could
squeeze from SM under their hard pricing policy, but I'm quite happy with
their pricing policy, it is fair to all the existing Volvo owners [now
I'm one of them too]!
Yesterday I sent my car for V-Kool tinting, it looks nicer now with the
blue colour tinting film so now the car is black, windows are blue, the
feeling is very good!
I'll be going to Kuantan next week to enjoy the driving pleasure, also to
fully enjoy the car audio system which is the best part of the car!
So when are u getting your car? You booked it from FA?

i booked for silver colour(my friend also silver), as my existing is
black, really hard to take care but S40 black in colour really looked
aggressiveand cool!. how much did you pay for the V kool? Dont you worry
when the guy dismantled your door panel, some nuts might be
missing.....haha...?bcos some of them might be 1st time tinting S40(using
your new car for praticing)
How much is your car insurance premium? i was told is around 3k plus
(after 55% NCB)included wind screen(cost 5k, premium 750dollars...sky
high!!!) and passenger liabilities. anyone know how much does the S40 2.4
windscreen costed?
i booked from FA. most probably after RAYA.
thanks

my insurance is about Rm3k [with 55% + windscreen RM525], the sum insured
is RM190k + RM3,500 windscreen, no PA. I'm not sure how much it cost for
the windscreen but i think RM3,500 is already good enough, this is also
the figure recommended by SM.
I have a dealer a/c with V-Kool, so I got it at dealer price . They
did have experience on S40 2.4i before so I got no worry on this part, so
far the result is perfect [I didn't find anything damaged or any nuts
missing after the installation...] but of course I was not there to see
them working on it, if not my heart would still pain anyway...
The V-Kool price for S40 2.4i is RM2,000, if you want it, you can go
through my dealer a/c at cost, that will save you a lot of marnee

how come FA told me the windscreen costed 5k? the salesman purposely went
and asked the workshop manager for the price. i thought the price is
standard and fixed by VCM....?? the sum insured reccomended by them is
175k (maybe i read wrongly)

I think it doesn't really matters that how much the windscreen cost since
the sum insured for windscreen is quite flexible. You can choose to
insure whatever amount as long as not exceeding the insurance company
ceiling price will do.

if you insured your windscreen for 3.5k, but turned out the price is 5k,
then you got to top top up the different, you know? then what is the
insurance for? just to subsidize partially?

Yes you are right. The 3.5k is just to partially subsidize if the full
price for windscreen is more than that.
But I think that RM5k is just a list price. The actual price [after
discount] will be much more cheaper. [If you check with other Volvo
authorised parts dealer, they are always selling much more cheaper than
SM / FA workshop].

if you install the windscreen outside, will the warranty be void?
