Guys! We have to speak up for this, our volvos are surely designed for a
higher speed than 110km/h
From my experience, I almost got in to a few accident since I follow the
speed limit, it is a way messy trying to overtake some 105km/h fellow
with 110km/h.
Those who impose this law must be those who never drive themself. How do
you actually always drive in the speed limit range, downhill sloop of
cause our car will go faster, and if they catch us for RM120, we will
said we're unlucky, but for RM300 and lockup, what the HECK ??
We must speak up so the government stop imposing stupid laws.
The Government is full of those ppl with the wrong knowledge to implement
laws like:
Declaring a PDA with Wi-FI a telecomunication device thus with 10% Tax.
- do they know what is a PDA ?
RM300 or Lockup for Over Speed.
- do they ever drive them self ?
Really make be P**s OFF

Some more all those fatal accident involved mostly their lousy "Protong",
no air-bags, ABS, lousy steel construction.
No fatal accident with Volvos right ?

Hi Seanswn,
Kinda agree with you.
I got my first summon in my first month with my new volvo. Just cruising
at 110 km/hr on Sunday without knowing that the speed limit was 90km/hr.
Volvo drivers would agreed that all volvo cars are more powerful and one
can easily reach a higher speed at the split of the next second (without
even knowing it)!
Perhaps our traffic police patrol should look into using Volvo cars (like
in Thailand where they use XC90)?!
Cheers.

hugh...they must be kidding.
Would suggest that the ministers concerned keep to the speed limit
whenever they are in highways coz I never seen 'VIP's" cars doing it.
Ciao

Ya ya, especially those with Police escort, speeding very fast.
They might said they are in a rush for official matters, but so are we

On-the-spot fines against traffic offenders to continue
News update by SA’ODAH ELIAS of the Star
PUTRAJAYA: The on-the-spot RM300 maximum fines for five major traffic
offences, introduced during the recent Ops Sikap will continue to be
imposed.
However, offending motorists would only be slapped with such fines during
integrated operations involving the police the Road Transport Department,
the Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board and other related agencies.
Transport Minister Datuk Seri Chan Kong Choy said the Cabinet had agreed
that the ruling be continued beyond festive seasons to send out a strong
message to motorists to behave on the road.
He said those who could not settle their fines on the spot during such
operations would be charged in court.
The five major offences that fall under this category are speeding,
reckless driving, overtaking on double lines, overtaking along emergency
lanes and beating the traffic lights.
NOW WITH THREE DEPARTMENT WANT TO DRINK COFFEE .....
LAST TIME PAY ONLY TO POLICE, NOW JPJ ALSO WANT TO TAKE THE SHARE .....
WHY NOT COMPULSORY FOR ALL CAR WITH A SPEED LIMITER OF 110KM/H
