to change the ATF for life. I have some doubt about this. Can anyone
advise should I change the ATF regularly for S40 5-speed auto? What should
be the change interval? and can I just change half the capacity of the
fluid i.e. 4 litre will do?
I know that the ATF for Volvo 5-speed AT is very expensive!

such thing as no need to change oil for life !!!??? check what type of ATF
uses in your S40 than change it lar. You will feel a smoother gear shift
once your ATF change, try it won't harm your car... "Volvo For Life"
not "No oil change for Life"...got it

speed AT uses synthetic blend ATF. Question is what is the change interval
for synthetic ATF (for half replacement 4litre & complete drain 8 litre)?

cost of repair is just not worth it for using compatible products.
I just wonder what is the recommended ATF change interval (for half
replacement and full drain).
