Hi owners (if any), care to share your experiences on XC70? Seriously
considering getting one now.

Thanks, mate.

Uncle Dick, Just one comment:-

Unless you don't mind paying for all new parts, getting a potong part
would be a problem. VCM doesn't bring in many of this model, as they
prefer to focus on the XC90 variants.

Aside from that, I LOVE the car...
And because it's a wagon, it's in my dream-list...

When buying one, take extra notice on the gearbox. This is known to
breakdown quite often & expensive to repair/replace.

Uncle Dick, based on my various conversation with mechanics, the
maintenance will be on the higher side as chop shop or OEM spare parts are
not easily available. Unless you dont mind to spend at SM/FA.

i bought an xc70 in sept 05 and had served me well so far. todate i have
only sent it for its 90km service costing me rm2200 (fixed)at FA and had
the brakes changed at ah kee. it shares a lot of parts with the s60 and
s80 brothers and thus easily available.the tires has been changed to
normal road tires from the pirellis scorpion as i dont intend to take it
off-road.

the ride is truly amazing and it feels very solid.anyway it suits me well
as i am not keen on the SUV ride and height. The xc70 is a good
compromise between an suv and car.
