940 Soft Turbo - how many different specs ?

When High Boost Pressure applied on B230FK, then you fall on 940SE (Sport
Edition) using 530 or 531 heads, manfactured only in 1992. In other word,
B230FK with LPT is a down grade of 940SE.

You are a real guru after my own heart.
I have been driving a 940 Turbo with full leather seats registered in Oct
'95 but would like to have a change in life-style and buy a 4X4 truck. What
in your opinion do you think is a fair price I can get for my car which is
a company car, well maintained by Federal Auto exclusively and the leather
smell of the seats is still evident? ...and immaculate of course.

Thanks a lot. I must salute you. One more thing, I hope you don't mind,
what make you choose 940s/t.

Please, don't say "real guru" laaah, we are all the same in the forum,
its a matter of exchange of knowledges, experiences and opinions.
Anyway, talking about life style is very subjective depends upon the
angle of views. As a human being, when our adenalin goes up, we are very
exited (part of life cycle).
When we consider our car is a partner (wife or husband), some people with
their fidelity stick on only one partner. Other people (with adrenalin
goes up and down) feels boring if only got one partner in their life, so
these types of peoples divorce the old partner and look for another
partner with a newlook and diferent characters. There are other peoples
who are not satisfied having only a partner, then look at and look for,
then collect to become their partners (more than one partner), and that
is human facts....So which type you are ? ... only you who know.
In term of price, it is difficult to make an evaluation whether it
is "Fair" or "Unfair", bcoz 940 and 4x4 have different philosophies and
characters, unless you compare a 4x4 brand with another 4x4 brand.
Characteristics of a car will refelct the characters of the owner (more
or less ... laaah), whether individual or company. Site manager of United
Tractors will use 4x4, while their president director will use Merc or
Volvo. If you want to be a King of the Road, just use 4x4 truck ....
heheheheheheh. If you want to be a fidel people, just use the one that
well maintained, good for you for the long run. Sure, thats depend on
your adrenalin rhytmic cycle.

Why I choose 940 s/t ?
Not complicated :
1. Engine compartment is big enough, have space to fix something there or
when need replacement parts, not so crowded.
2. My driving habit is always driving at low RPM, so I need High Low-End
Torque and Low RPM maximum power, good drivability at low RPM, easy to
overtake at low speeds.

You are not only a technical guru, you are also a philosopher.
OK, I did not disclose enough. Although my cars have always been accused
of being my first wives, I have only one real wife of more than 30 years
and still one wife. Likewise I keep my cars for a long time and maintain
them well so that they will not fail me and I only change them out of
necessity. The necessity is now because the 940 belongs to my company and
I am retiring by the middle of this month. Hence for sure there will be a
change of lifestyle for me in two weeks' time. For this reason I
considered what car would suit my new lifestyle and the answer is a 4X4
truck so I bought one.
Recognising that I have been the only master of the 940 since it was
bought, my company gave me the option to buy it at a small discount. I of
course will need to sell it as I cannot afford to keep two big cars as a
retiree hence the question of fair value both to guide me what price to pay
and what price to sell. I realise it may not be the best thing to do in
this forum so please forget it but if there is anyone out there who is
interested in a well maintained 940 turbo, please email me.

Where are you from ? I have a potential buyer for the 940-T. In fact, he's
also from this forum group but I don't know how often he comes in here.

I am from Penang.
Even if your friend is in KL it is no issue as I can easily drive the car
to KL (but only when I am sure I don`t have to drive it back to Penang
again ). I am planning to bring my truck to KL to do sound proofing
at SOUND BLOK during the week of the 21st anyway.

I'm on the island too. Maybe I can pop over at your place and browse
through the car before contacting the other party ?
