discount. If your car is 25 yrs old and over, you pay 1/4 tax on it.
However, no changing to different engines is allowed and you need to
certify it with Puspakom every year. Believe that would cover all
122/144 and early 244s.
In any case, since 240s are rather cheap, what we spend on tax, we save
on insurance...so its equal to driving a newer smaller car.

'84 240 s/wagon which has given me sterling service for the past 20 years.
No car is problem free. There's bound to be something wrong somewhere. If
cars are problem free, the car/parts makers will very soon go out of
business.
If you have an interesting experience with your 240, do post it here or at
the VOCM website & shae it with the others. There are a lot of 240 owners
in the forum.

this car are so reliable, many of them just used it and when things went
wrong, they just sent for repair. but am curious to know, those 240 on the
street, some look really not been taken care for long time, but with 2.4lt
road tax, they still drive, why ah?
my car are all standard and there are some loose screw here and there and
really need a paint job but then am still attending the coming TT 8thjan.
its not confine to new volvo even though one tend to see more topic on 850
and the newer cars. we need ppl like u to build up the 240 kaki.
