just curious...
noticed some steering locks try to prevent the airbags being stolen.
my vehicle doesnt come with any airbags but still why?
dont tell me they want to sell it to chop shops?

I don't think it is to protect the airbag purposely. It's only to
accomodate the airbag wheel which is bulkier compare to non-airbag
steering.

Generally, the design is to fit the large area of the airbag in the
steering.
Mind you, a replacement of the airbag will set you back by a couple of
thoudsands, depending of the model of the car.
