I am getting my new car soon and wanna install the Viper 771XV 2-Way
Security with Remote Start alarm in the recent wake of cars being
stolen...I've read thru all the forums but can't seem to find who are the
authorised distibutors of viper alarms in the klang valley and how much
this particular model will cost.

Also, can I or is it advisable for me to purchase them thru the Net( eg.
ebay) and ask a professional installer to install for me? That would
definitely help to save a lot of money...looking forward to your
infos..Thx

Not too sure abt Viper 2 Ways...seldom hear of them....But I would
estimate it to be 3-4k for the full set.

For electronics stuff espeically alarms best not too get through the net
because you may not know if it has been tested on our cars here. Also for
an expensive product like this if the product is faulty or more so if you
need to get advise it will be very very troublesome. Save money yes but
if you're not lucky and end up with a product that is difficult to
install then it will be a problem.

Anyway up to you bro...

Thanks bro for your reply...

I realised getting them thru the net is risky because if the product is
faulty, then the warranty will only apply from the place I bought it
from..doubt they have international coverage... anyway, do you have any
recommendations for similar systems like the viper... I believe
clifford's g5 is a direct competitor to the viper...

I just have my doubts on the cheaper but similar systems to the viper
(eg. radiostar 2 way)

Furthermore, VIper alarms have the cool "Viper On" and "Viper Off"
thingy... Big Smile

Viper system doesn't come an inch close to G5.

Checkout ProICE, they do DEI stuffs, should do Viper as well. If you need
to know directly dealer, my installer is doing them.

master foo, i know what a daisy chain is but can u please explain how a
g4/g5 can do that while Viper can't.... a bit confused...Blush

ok then..how much would a g5 with installation included, cost? i managed
to get a quote for t viper with voice module included for 2000... if the
g5 is not much more expensive then the viper then i might just opt for
it.. but i just wanna know the major differences between these 2 systems
2 c if it's worth splurging the extra on the g5 or else, viper it is...

it's ok master foo...i managed to figure it out... a little bit of
reading on their website does wonders eh? hehehe...Wink

i dont think i'll go 4 the g5 coz it's a 1-way system... i m looking for
a 2-way one... that only leaves the clifford matrix and viper 791xv

NisSANe-san,

Suit you my friend, no-1 can force you to buy certain product. IMHO, 2way
system in Malaysia is not really practical, unless you know, you own a
high risk car, & always wanna be close to your car, in which, otherwise,
the transmission will be limited.

Dude, warn you about the voice module, thief don't really likes'em, last I
heard someone who had it, was scratch on bonnet with a "f-a-rK-u"..coz da
thief can't get the ride? Big Smile

i agree with Sifu Fooyc.. nothing fancy about the voice module. imagine
you have vicinity sensor and some1 come near the alarm said "###### u" then
your car really dem jia lat.

last time i checked the Viper 2 way alarm pricing is about RM**** Tongue
