Dear All,
I ‘d lost my remote control set (both) for my toyota altis, I ‘d check
with toyota sa, they said that they have to remove some pcb to main
branch to copy the code and it cost >rm1000, so I plan to remove this
original cobra alarm from my car, is it possible? any recommend for new
alarm system? tq

hi wkalvin,

If your car is first hand, you should have a pin code that comes with your
manual. If you are able to retrieve that pin code, then you would not need
to remove the pcb to copy the code. That would be easier to duplicate your
key and touch key. If you have this pin code, you should be able to get it
done for rm650, if not should be around rm900.

the original cobra alarm is already a very good alarm. If you change it,
but still lose your keys in the future, you may not be able to readily
find any dealers, workshop or any autolocksmiths to reprogram it for you.
Better suffer some losses now than risk more for the future + forking out
capital to change your existing one.
