Kelana Jaya. It was parked along Jalan 5/1, opposite the new Customs
office. Realised my car was gone around 3.45pm and suspected the theft
occured around 3 p.m (during the heavy downpour). Was parked there with
several other cars who went to the kenduri that i went to. My relatives who
arrived at around 2.30pm told me my car was still there when they arrived.
They broke the small triangle window to get in 'cos that's the only thing
left behind on the ground.
So, whoever has seen my car...2003 Camry 2.4v, WLE 1717, Marine Blue,
please contact me at 012-2822932 or the police. thanks for your help. A
very bad day.....

insured the car for?
If lets say insured for RM150k did they pay you RM150K, it would be
interesting to know because they should!
Please feedback.

Did you lock your car with a steering lock or mechanical lock? One of my
neighbours' had his brand new Unser stolen right outside his shopoffice,
literally under his nose. I think an experienced and hardened thief can
disable your immobilizer and steal your ride in under three minutes.

after 6-7 days at Brickfield. Me only got the news from Police after one
month.
If one month later still cannot find your car, then you can start to look
for new car, but insurance only pay you 70% of the market value and not
how much you have insured ....

accepting premium for above market value?
Because for example if car market value is RM30K and I want to insure for
RM 35K and insurance company accepts it, for me once accepted they must
honour that value.
Some lawyers around here please comment.

You raised a very good point. When renewing your car insurance, just choose
a figure which is 10-15% less than your current market value. It makes no
sense to pay such a high premium when your car value depreciates so
drastically.

So what you are saying is that it does not matter how much a car is
insured they will still pay 75-85% market value is it?
If that is the case, might as well insure the car at the utmost minimum,
right?
This is one area all insurance sales people try to avoid discussing, I
wonder why?
The extra premium is profitable and payout still the same?
