I was approached to install a system for ignition that requires this
special key with indentation on the key surface.
I think it is a waste of money, people who wants to steal a car would just
hot wire the ignition rather than use a key.
Or am I wrong?

They must make a huge margin, at RM250 just a key and the lock...I think
the actual cost is less than 10 bucks....
