any cons of using pedal locks such as locktech ?? I am worry that it may jammed...
and faulty thus affecting our brakes system...

T-Rex is good enough. Nothing can stop a determined thief. They can hijack you if they want. Easy job, no steering to saw, no lock to prick. They might ask you to be the driver.......

i'm driving a vw polo. not really a fan of steering locks because thieves can cut the steering wheel. i prefer using brake/clutch lock, because very hard to go down there and do anything to the lock.

i'm using clutch pedal lock (my car is manual), brand solex model am999, price rm130 (negotiable, i got some discount)

they also have another type, also solex, model M10, price rm120. this one locks both brake and clutch pedal, but if you want to use this one, have to make sure it fits your car because the distance from brake and clutch might not be suitable.

just in case you guys are wondering, i bought the lock at authorised solex dealer Kwong Nam Hing, Petaling Street, 03 2078 2188 (if u go through mcd, the shop is on the right side of the street, a few shoplots after mcd.)

cheers.

waipaui. how much did you buy the lock. I check online, it cost close to
rm1k. That is quite expensive.

If it was the T-Rex, that must be the Ultimate keyless model. Yup even at Jusco was about RM998 !! I bought the Ultimate II with LDC remote. Cost aRM6xx.

At least it has the alarm sound and alert my LCD pager.

Cheers.

In my earlier City 2004 model, i installed the Cheetah immobolizer card. This one is on top of the Cobra standard alarm that comes with the car. The card one just keep in our wallet. When in the drivers seat and start the car, the loop sensor on the drivers seat detects the card and the engine gets started. If one is to be car jacked at traffic lights, never mind, let the thief drive off and in about 100 meters the car stalls as once it does not detect the card, it immobilizes the engine and car and the alarm and hazard lights goes on.

Cost me RM16xx 5 years ago. I found it very useful. No need to subscribe to those call center to immobolize the car.

Of course they can still just put your car on the low bed trailer and drive off with your car if the thief really wants to steal your car !
