I am going to be a Honda CRV owner soon. In view of all the stolen
vehicle and car hijack that's happening all over the place. I wonder if
there is a good system to secure what's mine....
I know there's "Captor" services which has high possiblity of recovery of
stolen vehicle. But, is this safe??
Any of you have the same concern??? What do you do??
Best regards,

Thank you.. I believe it helps in getting lock for steering and brake and
other for small time car thief...
But, is this safe enough for big car thief syndicate??
What I am worrying are hijack and robbed at gun point..... and after I
talk to a few friend of mine, they suggest that it is better to let go
the car and claim insurance, because the thief may come after you, if
your car is immobilised after they drive it away.
I was told you can get the car owner detail easily as long as you have
the car number plate??
I don’t know, maybe I am paranoid….. But this is the problem nowadays,
isn’t it? You may like the car, you may be able to afford the car, but do
you really want to risk it???
Best regards,

reply I say forget the idea. Come to think of it, the Abloy J-Lock that
secures the steering wheel and brake pedal in my present Kembara is good
enough for my new Vios. After all, its made from solid hardened steel
that cannot be sawn off, and Abloy locks are well known for being hard
even for master burglars to pick.

wheel to make it loose and take it out.

Thought about that one before so yesterday bought a "Disklok" from Quest
Audio in Subang Jaya, as recommended by someone at another AW discussion.
Its made of steel and covers the entire steering wheel. A bit heavy and
costly though.

u r right bout the samseng act if they found out u have the anti-hijack
installed. That why in my personal opinion, immo without the anti hijack
is enough - for our own safety also.
that's my 2 cents.
