Did any of you guys installed Cobra Connex in yr car? how effective is it?
I will be getting my hilux in few days and still figure which to install as
they is a cheaper option by aam RM1780 then rm260/per year wherelse cobra
is RM2750 then RM360/per yr.But Cobra include insurance coverage of
RM10,000 if car stolen for 72hrs. I think Cobra is better deal. with RM10K
and our insurance claim of 90%,we can recover back almost all our monies.
what do you think guys?

Hi ks88, I also been doing survey before I fitted my vigo with Cobra
Connex. All that matter is the car warranty will not void if fitted with
Cobra Connex as it was recommended by UMW Toyota. Technology wise, I
think both are the same using GPS and GSM technology. Hope it helps.
Cheers!

Hi ks88, I just recently fitted my Hilux with the Toyota recommended
CobraConnex last month (after looking around for months). No complains so
far as the product and service rendered by the service provider has been
OK. You'll be able to receive "Intrusion Alerts" via sms (at no
additional costs) - this is when your standard car alarm is triggered.
The additional alerts are like "Unauthorized Movement" which is pretty
much vehicle movement without ignition on, Battery Sabotage and some
other pretty neat security features.
The service provider, CSE Telematics, claims that they operate a 24 x 7
control room with professional stolen vehicle recovery team. You can call
up their call centre for more info (i've called them several times before
making my purchase, and they were quite helpful in providing info): 1-300-
880-333. Hope these info will help.
