Pls note that no insurance policy is giving a 100% coverage to the claimant but settlement will be fair and in accordance to the term & condition of the policy.

If one was to scrutinize every word of the insurance policy, you will notice policyholder will stand to lose. If you say settlement is fair...that is only your view & does not represent others.

The Insurance company will go bankrupt. Malaysia has become a high crime state that's the reason BN inorder to gain some sympathy from the people create slogan to fight crime, how many years we independent yet the crime is rising each day, outlaws has become more merciless these days and innocent ppl. risk their life each day even walk in to assist in corruption (TBH case) and police station (Kugan) your own personal safety are not compromised.

If you look at JB today, it has now become like the new Shanghai shore, many gang has established and vice activities become abundant. There are basically legal syndicate needless to say who are they, and illegal syndicate.

Sadly many Malaysian are still ignorance, i guess nothing much you can do now, except modifying car, and wait for criminal to knock on your door. If it really come then bad luck, if not then you can continue to eat rice and drink.

There is no revolution in Malaysia as time passed laws are been interpreted to certain party advantage e.g. Perak case. Even today there are many legal syndicates, it will soon take over, and Malaysian will lived in fear, your children especially girl, and your wife. All these Parang wielding thugs are everywhere, there are hidden inside bonnet, anytime it can come.

I got 3 friends who lost their cars. 2 are toyota rush. One happend infront of her but noting could be done as they drove away quickly. 2nd rush was parked infront of his house. They stole it in the middle day of heavy rain fall. The 3rd is Satria GT 1.8. Quite old car actually but seems not many on the road. 1st and 3rd were park in the parking areas. unfortunately the parking area charged the car at the entrance not at the exit. Very much easier for the theft to drive away the car.

It is a scary thought to think of owing a Civic.

Image your wife and children who were in the car try to reverse your Civic from car porch & end up wif X2 "celaka" wif parang point at her neck!

Those who drive Camry (Yr'09) & Gen8 Accord are also not spared. There is why people choose not so popular car like Peugort, Citreon or Ford for safety reason.

As on insurance, the insurer will pay only 80% on the current market price LESS rd tax, insurance policy, reg. fee etc. So, if you bought yours at RM117K and current secondhand market is selling at RM100K, you can expect insurance to cover up to RM80K. You stand to loose at least RM37K (31% lost). But, that does not mean anything if you have been getting fat bonus (talking about x6 month bonus each year) every year.

About safety, it is about time you consider moving into safer neighbourhood like where I live i.e. USJ Subang. At least currently I live in a gated community with zero crime rate.... smile_approve.gif smile_approve.gif smile_approve.gif

Bro,

Gated community does not guarantee your safety. Security Guards are part time robbers too you know. We has also notice there are part time Police robbers.
The key is not to take things for granted. Be vigilant!
