Before this, heard few cases like this at Gurney Plaza parking, better go

Hiya, old story-lah.
Penang people are vey kiasu one and they will scratch new cars because of
envy. Even more so when your car is from out-of-state. I had my Nissan
Sunny 130Y scratched in 1982 in Gurney Drive because it had BBS plates.
Then when I changed to a local plate Ford Laser S in 1985 it got
scratched in a hotel car park.
A Penang friend had his new car scratched even when the car was parked in
front of his house. Just move around Penang and note how many new cars
had already been scratched.
My 12-year old Penang plate Perdana is scratch-free.
