Sorry bro to hear that you were mislead...when you buy from shops thats
what they tell you...the 2 way works all based on radio frequency and
line of sight ...if there is a building then the range will be shorter.
However for a level 3 basement parking it all depends where you are and
the construction of the building....

You have a button that u press to check on your car right? that one
sometimes when u press it doesn't connect well. However for good systems
the signal from the alarm in the car once it is triggered will be
stronger and you can actually receive the beep on your 2 way alarm..

I have tried it before ...i parked in the Renaissence hotel basement
parking...alarm triggered I can still get the signal in the conference
room...so it all depends on the brand and quality of the alarm as well
