Just wondering if you guys have a preferred brand of diesel?
I personally prefers BP, which for some strange reason seems more
responsive that Shell (makes my Mazda Fighter feels sluggish..) and
Esso/Mobil.
Petronas and Caltex are OK too.
Can this be true?

hi,
Friends recomends Mobil/Esso as they seem to have a cleaner exhaust. Why
don't you try and give us your input...

Diesel kakis'
jay, xantiaBFY,
Yep, agreed that BP and ESSO/Mobil combo gives less black smoke. But I am
sticking to Caltex Diesel because the station is near my home.
Lots of black smoke during Italian tune-up

My choice will be Shell diesel fuel. I feel that I have more distance
with the fuel with single fill set up. Occasionally, I fill with
Petronas, I felt, the fuel burn faster and making me have to refuel
faster compare to Shell. Mobil,Exxon and BHP, I considered them as the
last choice since I travel alot in distance, when a fuel station of
choice is not available, well someone got to make some choice.
Preference: 1. Shell, 2. Exxon/Mobil 3.BHP 4. Petronas.

I use Esso/Mobil, and occassionally Caltex diesel.
I really can't tell the difference but I've been hearing good things
about them.

i stick to shell. but want to share something here.
a few years back, i also noticed those mini bus driver and trucks queuing
up at esso/mobil. so i tried a few times at esso and i noticed that the
quantity i got is more than shell diesel (i mean for the same RM you
pumped in). Have anyone check it?
I also asked a friend working in shell. He is not surprise since they
knew it all the while. The reason does not rely on quanity of fuel in
litre but more important is the weight of the fuel for the amount of RM
one fellow pay for.
