higher resolution PC vid monitors can handle when compared to TV. But with
PS2, I can play it on a larger screen (29" versus my puny old 17" tv), and
the gameplay is smoother on PS2. If I wanna play it on PC, I will need to
upgrade my 2 year++ old nVidia MX400 card. And if I wanna upgrade my vid
card, I need to upgrade the mobo and CPU.
Come to think of it, there's so many new games that I wanna play on PC,
but will require some $$$ investment on hardware upgrade. Haven't played
many PC games since I got my PS2 a year ago. Time for an upgrade....

release/incoming titles are all very sexy and excellent games, such as
MaxPayne2, Call of Duty, Halo, DOOM3, Quake4, Half Life2, Tron2.0 and many
many more to name a few.....

spot" when the price comes down. Right now, I'm considering the Radeon
9600 Pro (say goodbye to nVidia). The XT version is coming out soon, so I
hope the Pro price will go down. Not much performance difference between
the two (Pro and XT), so will settle for the pro. Radeon 9800 is just too
expensive. 9600 is DX9 compatible, so it should be good enuf for Half Life
2 and Doom3. Will settle with PS2 games, as there still enough games to
keep me occupied until the right time to get a new vid card.
Some games to play: Jedi Knight, Counter-strike Cond Zero,
MaxPayne2....aargh! can't wait....
Will upgrade soundsystem first. Will be getting the Logitech Z680 5.1 THX
speakers. Can be used for both PC and PS2.
As for the turbo meter, ya, pedal to the metal. Just for deco only, but
the sound of compressed air letting out is real cool.
Anyone figured out how to master Drifting Courses? I can't even get above
70000pts to beat the Hard Level.

the new generation one with advance Pixel shader. Just for your reference,
here is my spec. P4 2.66G, 512M PC3200 400Mhz DDR, FX5600, Abit IS7-E
865PE mobo can run the Underground smoothly with 2 features turn down. But
Halo is totally unplayable in 1024x768 with everything max (about 10+-fps).
MaxPayne2 run smoothly in 1024x768 with everything max out. (I don't
bother to run my game at 800x600 since long long time ago and now 1024x768
is the min. level and entry standard)
So, if you are seriously want to enjoy the game with all their option max,
you should at least get a FX5700 or ATI9600 upwards or you may find
yourself asking for an upgrade pretty soon again.

but U will need to use lower resolutions and turn off some details. I'm
using Ti4200, 1024x768, full details.
