Hi forumer..been in the forum quite sometime just seldom post only..

I jz want to share info on this tyre, latest techonolgy Silverstone Synergy
M5..comfort, quiet and save fuel also cheap as well..I'm using this
tyre(205/45/16) for one year and 3 months, bought it on early jan'07 bought
at Kulim but now i stay in Jitra.

2nd March 08, go n balacing the tyre everything looks ok, but when drive
still shaking..so when back to the tyre shop they test and can figure out
the problem cos the tyre look so ok...the thread n evrything...so they
offer a chg tyre by trade in the M5, but i reject cos they only have sime
tyre and EP only..so just drive my way to alor star, found a not so new but
still look new Hankook Shop, wen and ask for trade in they say ok so i take
pakej for HR2 for rm200 per pc n trade in worth 250 i just need to top up
550...but here is the scary things....
have u guys heard of 'tayar bengkak'..of course some heard bout it, but
normally its on the outside of the tyre, but for M5 it is in the inside
part, where the inside layer look like going to peel off...my god, i was so
shock to see it as from the outside my tyre look so good like well taken
care off..It happen to all 4 tyres if its 2pc then wud be a defect but all
4..so trade in was cancel as the tyre shop dont want to take the risk, but
i still chg to Hankook HR2 after nego get for RM720 n sell the M5 tyre to a
'kedai botol' shop...

so DONT BUY SILVERSTONE M5, IT'S SO DANGEROUS, IMAGINE IF DRIVING AND THE
TYRE EXPLODE WHAT WILL HAPPEN,WE CANT SEE IT AS FROM OUTSIDE LOOK VERY OK
NO PROBLEM..so FOR THOSE WHO USE IT, TRY TO TRADE IN WHILE STILL CAN...

Have not seen this type of damage before.
Would have been nice if you had taken a photo.

tazztham,

Silverstone still around. Factory in Taiping, Perak.

They have the FTZ Sports, the EVOL 8.(UHP)
Kruizer 1 now comes with NS500 & NS700.
They also Synergy M3, M5 and the powerblitz range
They are also in the local rally and 4X4 scene.

I'd been using Silverstone Brand tyres (most models) for many years and
never had problems with them.

Fitted M3 during the last few years & I'm satisfy with the price I paid
for it.

Very durable & long lasting tyre I would say.

I never had puncture tyres while using them until the minimum tread wear
appeared.
