Hi. Just curious. Why would you want to do that?

The engine is deisel. Pre-heat required to warm up the glo plugs for
starting.

Hi. I know what glo plug are for. Just don't know why do want to disable
it? What advantages are there? I can only see the negative but not the
positive.

Oops. My mistake and apology. I have always thought that it's always on
automatically when you start the engine and it's not something you can
either switch it on or off at will. Do you have difficulties in starting
your engine especially in the cold morning? If no, then maybe it's just the
light bulb not working even though the glo plug still work.

Is your engine a direct injection? I notice that my previous direct
injection diesel does not really need a glo plug to work in our tropical
climate.

As I have just aquired the vehicle I am not really making full use of it
yet as I wish to make a few changes to it.

If I leave the vehicle over night, or say I don't start it for 24hrs, yes
it seems difficult to start. The engine is a 2.5L Diesel, I dunno at the
moent if its direct injection. My colleage told me that I have to rotate
the ignition key anti clockwise for the glo plug to be heated.....however
my model does not have this. Should I be looking at something different?
I have replaced the battery and it is certainly strong enough although I
have not ruledout replacing the alternator yet.

those manual glow plug starter mostly found at the inginiton switch.

Some owner has "automated" it using relay, making it a auto one.

In the morning, if without pre heat, very difficult to start engine.

Just to the right of the ignition key there are two lamps. One is marked
FILTER, this will come on when I putthe key in the ignition. The 2nd is
PRE-HEAT, I presume forth glow plug, There is also a pull type switch
next to the twolights....is this the glow plug heater switch? I hav eyet
to find out.

The 92 LC should come with automatic glow plug control unless modified by
the previous owner.
You should be able to hear the heater relay clicking when switching ON
before engine tip over.
