I know basically quite a number of stuffs on the new harrier(mine`s 06) can
be reprogrammed by ourselves to suit our own preference, i.e. power
windows, pana roof, hidden touch screen menus, interior lights, power boot
and i managed to find out how. Only thing I couldn`t find is how to
reprogram the door locks(all 4 doors) NOT to unlock when gear is shifted to
park. Tried but
unable to do it. Anyone managed to get it done, if yes, any tips?

Ok I manage to find all the answers. I can now reprogram everything in the
harrier i.e. autolocks, auto headlights, parking lights, interior lights
and all other hidden features.

Dear forum members, I am actually comtemplating purchasing a used
Harrier. I was thinking about the '99 model, 2.2 liter. Can I have some
input on this choice?
1) What is the average fuel consumption for city driving (I stay in Kota
Kemuning, and work in Shah Alam).
2) Is maintenance costly? (standard maintenance lar: change oil, filter
and all the other stuff)
3) Is the car reliable?
I've been driving my dad's Merc W124, E280. Averaging about 550km per
full tank (about RM115). Borrowed the car from him while thinking of what
car to buy.
If any of you know a good Harrier that is for sale, can let me know too?
You can contact me via PM or my mobile: 016-6657822. Thanks.
Thanks in advance for all the advise.

Wow...this thread has been dormant for sometime...
Im a new owner of a brand new 06 2.4L Harrier.
So far, I love this car, but I have one issue on the radio frequency.
Does the FM booster gadget give a perfect reception in KL?
I am also glad to learn that Toyota service in Shah Alam accepts doing
service for toyota cars they dont import, like the Harrier. Currently Im
sending my car for the periodic service to the SA that sold the car to
me, since the company gives me a one year warranty on the engine and
gearbox. After the one year has lasped, I intend to send the car to that
Toyota SAlam service centre.

Hi All,
Just got the '04 Harrier 240G. Now pondering to change some light bulbs for
cosmetic enhancements. Thus, wondering if any of you know the
specifications of all the bulbs for this vehicle. For example, what bulb
type for the high beam and fog light. Thanks...
harrierguy,
You mentioned programming of the hidden features? How do you do it, through
the touch screen monitor? Since it is in Japanese, having hard time to play
around with it. Please share your experience. Thanks...
Stamp,
Me just got a band expander (of 10 MHz type, for 88~108 MHz) that is made
in New Zealand. The guy who sold me said this is good. But I have not
install it, so no results to tell. By the way, which shop you intend to
send your vehicle to install the FM booster? Thanks...
