Of course U can join. Just bring your family along. The more the merrier.

Like I have mentioned, I am just one of the participants. This is only my
2nd off road outing. I am very new in this 4x4 thing. That's why I join
this training, merely trying to learn. One of my friends is joining me too
with his Hilux.

Think U should contact the organiser (AYUP 017 3491424) & ask him all U
want/can.

According to him, so far, 7 cars have signed up.

Lol Sungai Lembing is my back yard.

I have to go to KTN that weekend cos a close friend is having some
problems. I will almost for sure be going to Sungai Lembing so I'll take
a drive in and find you all. I know where you'll be (lol).

FYI, you can penetrate quite far inside without the aid of 4WD, they
cleared the road for the logging 4/5 years ago. Only problem is the river
and streams are a little high when it rains, but I think they will be ok.

this sounds good!

however....
-is the 4wd system of the ivtec crv sufficient for this?
-and...what wear and tear on the suv can be expected (eg will braches
cause a lot of scratches on the paint etc)?

Hi,...

GoToy,... Just show up if U r free. U should know where & when we will
be since U know the place well.

Yep,... guess the off road should be alright (or easy???) since we r
having training only.

hmm ok!

1) If you go off road you should expect to have things like paint
scratches. However, the rd is quite open in Sg Lembing so you should be
ok, its 50:50 really.
2) Your vehicle (4wd) should have no problem up there, but you will have
some limitations on the river crossings. But those with winches should
help you out.
3) With offroad you will always have an increased wear and tear on your
vehicle, especially on your suspension. Drive slowly and take it easy.
The road over there is like a dirt track really, but problems occur when
it rains.

Have a good trip if you go.

FYI, I have driven 2wd vans inside, protons, volvos etc....and we have
been through the streams and rivers! Of course, there comes a time when
you have say..'Aw well, this is the end of the trail'!!!
