Yup me too would like to have owners review. Since Naza just launched the
facelift model, any chance of getting pre facelift 2007 at a discount?

I was actually interested but macam macam complaint from previous owners
about the transfer box and other transmission problems giving me second
thoughts.
But based on review by some magazines it is supposed to be a reliable SUV.

Regarding transfer box and transmission failure. It could be due to 2 reasons:

1. Product failure which mean inherent problem with the hardware.

2. User failure which has nothing to do with the hardware so you have
nothing to worry about. I suspect many 1st time user of part time 4WD
mistakenly use 4WD on tar road and risk damaging the hardware.

hi,

Who else can give comment on this car (Sorento)? Im inetrested to get 1.

I heard year 2003 & below, the gear box not so good and only 4 speed
gear. Correct?

But for year 2004 onward should no problem??!!! how about the
transmission gear?

This car only can select Auto (2wd & 4wd) and 4 low only right? not like
x-Trail can select 2wd, auto & 4 low.

So far had no problems with the car. Friend of mine is happy with his.
Naza sometimes supply the spares very slow but the normal spares they
have in stock. You will not regret buying one. Its a 5 seater.

Haha only after 2 yrs still have somebody reply on the same topic. I own one, 2009 model. Nice car to drive with nice torque and power to cruise on hiway. But then owning it means you need to spend more on the suspension coz nobody can tahan the wallowy and soft suspension from the stock absorber. You will feel like floating on a barge, and the aftermarket suspension doesn't come that cheap. A good one will set you poorer 3-4k. I've got 2 faulty items replaced by Naza, ABS sensor and Steering Clock Spring and those are Safety related items? Too much electronics! And the service centre abit slow to follow up on your replacement item, but then i learnt some tricks, just report them to e aduan KPDNKK and within few days in an instant they will call you to say your part is no ready for fixing...hahah dirt tricks.

Overall is a nice car and you will always feel safe. Although its tall suprisingly body roll is unnoticable when taking corners.

finally found the sorento forum.had mine for bout 3 years.initial problems was air cond and battery. now it's just battery.
its a great buy suv but servicing is a hassle coz most of the centers don't really know in depth bout this suv.its a well guarded korean secret.
any one knows a good service centre around???
