There were some reports of later model 3.1Tdi, presumably Green version,
having a slight power increase but I have no way of confirming that. My
fuel consumption isn't great at 23mpg or 8.*km/L.

I only have experience with locally assembled 3.1tdi and there are 2
assemblers, namely, ACM in West Malaysia and KMA in Sabah.

IMO, those assembled by ACM seems to have better finishing and that's what
I have. From what I understand from the Internet, Lotus and Irmscher
version are tuned for better handling and having driven a few KMA's (some
with the word Irmscher written on it), I would agree. But I couldn't find
anything difference between ACM & KMA by looks alone. They seems similar to
my non-mechanic eyes.

ACM comes with 245/70R16 tires and KMA with 31x10.5x15 tires. And in
theory, the ACM tires should performs better instead. Go figure.....

Already did. Can't help it if your email account put it into the 'spam' folder.

Refer to my above post. KMA has 15" rim vs ACM's 16's (can fit 245 or 265
tires).
