To all experts out there, I'm just wondering is there any Blow Off Valve
specially for Diesel Turbo engine? Which able to increase / produce some
kind "sound" while shifting gears...

someone told me diesel turbo cant install bov..

yeah...my understanding is diesel turbo usually not running higher than
1.2bar where petrol engine usually can goes up to 1.6bar. the other
reason for that is diesel engine don't have throttle body with butterfly
valve. so no pressure surge to the piping like petrol engine when u
suddenly close the throttle..

i juz bought my nissan frontier n wish to fix a blow off valve to hear it
GARANG sound.. but now..
seem lik i got to forget it..

last week, i refer to melaka fetta autoparts (MARCO)..
the mechanic told me tht, if the diesel car is MANUAL,then it can fix wif
BOV.. & definitely we can hear the pssshhhh sound....
but my car stil under warranty so cannot be done.. = ="

james...u r right.

manual diesel can install blow off but i doubt the sound will reach the
ideal of what you and me is hoping for. mine is auto...so, less hope! i
have friends modi their turbo to give the loud blow off sound but all
three 4wd of isuzu model. the workshop claims that isuzu engine fit most
turbo and can stand higher pressure & rev.

but your frontier is very fast already eh! difficult to over take oh.

ya, i tink juz after my warranty... i wil fix the blow off valve n see.. =>
frontier is superb in accelerate but its top speed r nt tht gud.. so lol..

My ranger turbo is set from 1.5 to 1.7 bar. No problem. I'm usind boost
controller set frm d cabin. can feel d G

for d bov, I'm not installing it yet coz i might installing the external
wastegate and exhaust pipe

for the top speed, u might install d speed limiter to increase top. I'm
not installing it yet but maybe later. It cost about rm299 to rm400
