fix it unless it's broke" method. This is in view of our typical
under-the-tree types of garages.

wish you the best of luck whilst your looking for an off road workshoop
in the middle of nowhere to fix your so called 'broken' part.
For me, I like to ensure that my vehicle is NOT going to break down at a
crucial point.
Where to go for an oil and filter change? lol...Tesco.

maintainence only goes for regular oil change / filter change/transmission
oil change / axle oil change / air filter change / fuel filter change /
greasing / tire-rotation. Bet no many people do the last item: tire-rotation.
And I would say I go a bit further then that. I research and decide what
oil etc to use like the Delo 400 and I believe I am the 1st to mention it
in these forum. And I usually stay round and make sure they do it
correctly. A good example is that 99% of those mechanic will over-fill my
engine oil.
Anything else, I will tell them not to touch. Am I unnecessarily worried?
You bet. Have you ever notice that when they dismantle a complicated part
and then put everything back again later, there is often some spare un-used
screw laying around? Wonder where those came from???????

there is any 4WD shop around Klang Valley that give reasonable price.
That is all. Save your theory and how your going to maintain your car to
yourself. Everyone got it's own method. Is this simple English or what?

maybe you can start the list with your own recommendation...no??
I am equally keen to know as well because currently I am going to the
Franchise SC due to the warranty provided. In due time, I`ll be servicing
it "outside" as the rest do.
I can`t recommend the Franchise SC because it is not known to be
reasonable in its charging.

I am new to these forums but want to make a few comments.
1. I think you dont have to go to the franchise to get servicing all the
time while the car is under warranty. They might like you to believe that
but I think the truth is (check it our for yourself) that you only HAVE to
do the first service with the place you bought your truck.
I have a hilux and used toyota service for several months and then after a
bad experience with their service (vehicle still under warranty) I went
looking for another shop to service my truck. Cheaper and better than
toyota service centre..
I have no hesitation to recommend Safari Junction 4x4. Great people. Know
their stuff. Head guy for servicing is Andy Chock. Head guy for the
accessories side is Stiven Sim. If you call/visit them tell them the Neil
the Aussie sent you.
(No - no relation to me, and I dont work for them of get kickbacks. Just a
very satisfied customer :)
