ViceCity,
I meant that if the price of Vios is >85K, then i'd definitely go for
City.. i booked City when Vios price was quoted as 88k..then change
booking when vios came down to 81.5k..
for 79K, city is one hell of a car..but...Good Luck with CVT!
:)

courier,
i dont mean service..i mean, lets say ur car breakdown in ulu yam or some
other god-forsaken place..u can take it to the nearest mechanic for a
quick fix, then take ur own sweet time to get it checked at toyota
service..
as opposed to CVT, only Honda can fix it..imagine towing cost from ulu
yam to the nearest honda service center..or worse still, no service
centre nearby..guess u hv to fly in the honda guy with a heli..heheh..:)

Not only CVT, most latest car are equip with electronics now. Even the
Kancil and Kenari. If your car break down in deserted places or your
kampung, you may need to get it tow all the way back to the city to get it
fixed. I've red about this article written by Chips in Autocar mag. Very
interesting instead. More and more car are depending on electronics
leaving the kampung service guy can fixed older Protong or P2 & older cars
only. They need to start improving their skills or work with the branded
service center. Big Smile

The difference between CVT n conventional auto trans. is that with CVT u
can use rope 2 pull the car whereby all 4 wheels rolling on the road cos
all 4 wheels r free when u engage to 'N' without engine running, but for a
conventional auto u have to lift up the 2 driving wheels to tow them
o/wise gearbox kaput.

ViceCity,
Very true. Just look at the 7-Series. Pack with electronics and I heard
that it has more than 700 micromotors! Shock

anek,
I think not much repair is needed. Just plug it to a laptop n they can
find tune the settings, just like F1 technology. Maybe Chips can write an
article on the advance technology of 7-Series.
