Anek1,
I agree with you on that. The cost should be low enough for UMWT to price
the Vios lower than the estimated RM75.5k for 1.5E and RM82.5k for 1.5G.
Anyway, the price gap between Vios and Corolla in SG is quite close. In
MY, the price gap is quite big, hence the deletion of some items, I guess.
But should be no harm if UMWT can lower the prices more.

I think the actual retail price would be lower or worse case similar to
estimated price. The sales people at Starhill offered to commit to me in
black and white that the final price will never be higher than the
estimated price quoted. Not sure what they will do, if it somehow becomes
higher, any lawyers here? Maybe add in a live cobra to compliment the
alarm system.

Kasper,
at first their estimated price were RM 95K and RM 85K...right...now become
RM 82.5K and RM 75K....its really quite a big gap in between....so do you
think that what's the actual price which UMWT summitted to gov for Vios
price..??
** heard it from my freinds saying actual Honda City price to summitted to
gov is abt RM 72K++...but its seemlike our gov still wan to protect proton
loh...

I oso saw the Vios yesterday at Starhill.
Well, i'm not disappointed.
Interior.
Interior quality seems to be on par with the City.
But the dark colours seems to make it looks small and uninspiring.
Poor colour choice.
Central instrument dashboard is nice...i like it. Very easy to read the
figures. Every thing is located within easy reach.
Seats. They are quite comfy. I find them bigger then the City seats. I
check again when i left and have a look at a few H.City park near Lot 10.
Bcos the seats are bigger, rear legroom was smaller but still acceptable,
unless the driver is 6 feet tall.
But very poor headroom for rear passenger. I knock my head when getting
out of the car....sigh...i'm oni 173cm......
Grip type door handle....nice...
Boot space...smaller then City...but acceptable. It lose out in
practicalty when compare to the folderable seats of the City.
Exterior.
Styiing is sporty and conventional. No problem here.
Like those for lights.

So, rx330, did anyone tap on you ?
But it's surprising that they can commit delivery in 1 month. Probably
need Unker Chips to check it out.
Also, from the response, it doesn't seem that UMWT is in any urgency to
regain their market share, such luke warm treatment to potential customers.

Anek,
Thanks...
It's getting very difficult to chose between the 2.....sigh
i know, i know...u can't go wrong chosing either......but which one...
maybe toss a coin to decide...as both meet my criteria......hehehe
think i'll test drive b4 deciding.....
and if that oso cannot help me....then the pricing will be the deciding
factor.....buy whichever is cheaper....but of course rule out the Vios
1.5E...lah
meditate on this i will....
Thanks...

I think UMWT is using the right approach. How to be aggressive if you
cannot confirm pricing or delivery?
