The main focus has been the instrument panel, interiors, engine,
transmission, design and etc for the past few weeks.
There are other minor details which I like to bring up.
Radiator & Air Cond Fan
It seems that VIOS uses a single fan for the radiator & air-cond heat
exchanger. City and many other cars uses dual fans, one for each.
The disadvantage of sharing the same fan is that when the single unit
fails, the cooling system is inoperable. As for dual fan system, the fan
for the air-cond system serves as backup (that is when the AC is switched
off; no cooled air) when the radiator fan fails.
Wing Mirror
Folding of wing mirror is not powered. I expect this type of feature to be
incorporated as standard since the car cost RM80K.
15" wheel
Not bad for a car in this category. Better handling, control & stability.
Disc Brakes
Equipped with disc brakes for front & rear. Emphasize on safety and
handling.
Horn
Have anyone of you tried the horn? I tried the Thai model, it sounds weak
and awful. Did not try it at the KL road show. I assume the horn for M'sia
VIOS model should be the same for all local assembled Toyota models.
Look forward for your comments and feedback.

I always think that my ex-rolla's horn is very sissy although it's a
double-horns, just listen to those Wajas', even the cars are craps, but
the horn sounds solid and nice.
But hor, the kenari ones lagi worse, sissier than the sissy Toyota horns.

cshaw,
The radiator fan issue has been brought up to Chips attention in the Vios
question thread. Agreed with u on this issue but are u sure H. City has
dual fan instead of one. Can someone confirm this.
Regarding the wing mirror, i think it's a cost issue. Don't think the
higher end model has it oso.

Oh yes another notable feature of VIOS worth mentioning.
I notice that the rear shock absorber is relatively longer (longer stroke)
than conventional cars.
The longer stroke help dampens the shock from impacting the light weight
body.
