Beside RPM pia power output , gear ratios is another important factor to
be considered.

Even with less power output , a shorter gear ratios's car can tapau a more
powerful car but with longer gear ratios in a traffic light sprint test.

ketaauto,

Agreed ! Normally for the car at the same engine capacity , the gear
ratio will be almost the same. The car manufacturer have to balance the
enginer output , gear ratio , torque converter and final drive ratio to
optimise the car performence.

Just my 2 cent,

Having driven and owned some of the cars mentioned...Altis & Sentra should
be catogarize higher compare to others...Toyota & Nissan are well known
establish car maker....terutama reliability...especially Nissan with it
legendary engines(dah menang macam-macam award) that also fitted to
Sentra...QG16DE, other than having Variable Timing Control also with one
stage silent chain compare to others with timing belt...tak payah pening-
pening nak tukar timing belt when reached 100Kkm....can be use sampai
enjin hancur.

oppps sorry, another additional info,

NRMA Australia again rated Nissan as the best car to own in terms of low
cost ownership as compared to others within the same catergory like Corolla
(Altis), Hyundai, Honda (not popular in Australia and NZ),
Ford, Holden, and so on.... boleh tengok their website for more info ....

This is wrong place to talk about which car is better. If you bring this
topic to Toyota forum, sure ppl will say Altis better. Pls bring this
topic to the neutral forums.

Better focus on topics like user experience/stories with Chevrolet cars,
how to maintain/keep the Chevrolet cars in good shape, which will benefit
the Chevrolet community...

I personally drive a Sentra before, and sadly to let you know that it is
way underpower if compared to Altis, Lynx and Optra. A car with highest max
BHP doesn't means it has best performance. Altis is good at speed range
from 0-140KM/h, Lynx is good at 0-140KM/h, Optra is good at 80-160KM/h
while Sentra is flat on 0-160KM/h.

Please correct me if I`m wrong.

As far as I know , the only Nissan`s award winning engine is the 3.0
liter V6 , other Nissan`s engines do not win any prestige award.

Anyway , the N16(XE , GXE) pia engines are as noisy as
its competitors especially when the Nissan`s engine
fan kick in , the whole neighbourhood pun boleh
dengar , jauh lebih bising dari Optra .

For speed AMD is OKlah but eat lots of power. Intel better for multimedia
and don't eat as much power.
