Post this thread to prevent further Optra vs xxxx thread appear here. Those
people are funny, if want to get fair comparision, they should post it in
"Car Cafe" section and not "Car's Owner Craze" section.

If you post "Altis 1.6 vs Optra 1.6" in Chevy forum, sure people will say
Optra 1.6 is better. If you post "Altis 1.6 vs Optra 1.6" in Toyota forum,
sure peple will say Altis 1.6 is better.

Put it in perspective la. You must measure in terms of :
1. price/resale value
2. interior
3. exterior
4. engine performance
5. NVH
6. handling and ride
7. fuel consumption

Optra is not the best in all these measurements. Though I kinda like its
interior and NVH (very un-Korean like). Handling is pretty good, but the
Lynx is better. Don't know about 1.6 engine performance cos I test drove
a 1.8 model.

By the way, I drive Lynx. But I won't be biased to say that the Lynx is
best in all these disciplines either, cos it does have certain
limitations (hard ride, slightly unrefined NVH, uninspiring interior) but
it is tops in the points that matter to me, such as handling and engine
performance/fuel consumption.

Hah hah hah....guys, we don't have to be so literal minded sometimes.
Look beyond the meaning of the words and see the sarcasm that is behind
AMD's remarks. heh heh....but still unmatched compared to another
favourite forum poster of mine - Ranii. This chap is a riot!

Altis & Sentra way above the others, 1.6 vvti dan 1.6 vtc, both variable
valve timing engine lagi, better just compare Optra, Waja, Spectra & Lynx.

When we buy a car ...we compare as a package and put down a list .

No doubt tah the Altis and Sentra have variable valve timing
technology ..meaning more efficient and powerful engine . That soed not
mean that it is the latest tech...

We shoulkd consider also the driving pleasure , safety and other areas
too.

Yalah!! Mercedes and peugeot have no VVTi or VTC, means they are no good???
each manufacturer has their own technology lah...just VVTi is more popular,
You can pay more money to get the 'POPULAR' name loh.....if you want.
