This is the current pricing in Indonesia, compared to the original
Kijang, comparing the A/T versions.

Kijang LGX 1.8 A/T Rp 173.250.000
Kijang Innova 2.0L G A/T Rp 178.000.000
Kijang Innova 2.0L V A/T Rp 204.500.000

Exchange rate as at 18 Sep 2004 is:

1 Indonesian Rupiah = 0.0004207 Malaysian Ringgit
1 Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) = 2,376.73 Indonesian Rupiah (IDR)

So a simple calculation without taxes will work out to be:

Kijang LGX 1.8 A/T RM 72,886.28
Kijang Innova 2.0L G A/T RM 74,884.60
Kijang Innova 2.0L V A/T RM 86,033.15

How much tax will govt slap on the Innova is anybody's guess.

I have checked the toyota salesman and was told officially Avanza booking
opens on 4th October. My rough guess is toyota will concentrate their
marketing for Avanza this year and probably sometime early or mid next
year, they may do the Innova. Beside that Innova just being launched in
Indonesia and definitely they would like to see how the market react over
there before do the launch here.

As for the price, if the difference is not much as compare to Unser, then
I guess it will be another best seller for them.

Yes, it definately will since it was purportedly designed for Asean/Asia
markets in mind. Look at Vios, Now Avanza and next year Innova. Good
marketing strategy Toyota..ThumbUpThumbUp. I hope UMW will not screw up the
pricing.Evil

Check the website below for some info on Innova as compare to Kijang
(Unser). On one side it has a sliding door instead of swing door.

raymond,

The car with the sliding door is the facelifted Nissan Serena launched in
Indonesia, NOT the Kijang Innova.

HINT: Look at the pics carefully.

Hello,

By simple calculation we can predict the price here when we c the figure
from Indonesian's market.

Kijang 1.8L LGX A/T (Indon) RM72K+
Here, in Boleh Land the price is RM89K+.
The margin between Indon & Malaysian around RM17K or 23.6 %.

Btw we can predict the price of Kijang Innova 2.0L G A/T (Indon) RM74K
will badge around RM91K+ and Kijang Innova 2.0L V A/T (Indon) RM86K will
came with price RM106K here...But it will depends on our tax and what cost
UMW $UCK from us!!..Hehehe.

Just my 2 cents

Toyota Avanza is opened for booking & will be available in October, 2004.

Toyota Kijang (Unser) Innova will be launched in January, 2005.
Price: please refer to Pak Lah, Customs & Kak Pidah.
